Acconeer A121 60 GHz PCR Sensor

The Acconeer A121 is a fully integrated 60 GHz Pulsed Coherent Radar (PCR) sensor designed for applications requiring high measurement accuracy with very low power consumption. It combines the RF front-end, baseband processing and Antenna-in-Package (AiP) into a compact 5.5 × 5.2 × 0.88 mm package, making it ideal for battery-powered and space-constrained products.

Built on Acconeer's patented Pulsed Coherent Radar technology, the A121 delivers absolute distance measurements with millimeter accuracy and relative accuracy down to the micrometer level. The sensor measures objects at distances up to 23 meters, depending on the target, while remaining unaffected by dust, darkness, color variations and most environmental conditions that challenge optical sensors.

The A121 supports a broad range of sensing applications, including:

Designed for easy integration, the sensor communicates via a high-speed SPI interface, supports both 1.8 V and 3.3 V I/O, and can be mounted behind plastic or glass without requiring an opening in the enclosure. Acconeer also provides a comprehensive Radar System Software (RSS), APIs and example applications to accelerate product development.
