Acconeer XM126 IoT Radar Module

The Acconeer XM126 is a low power IoT radar module that combines the Acconeer A121 60 GHz Pulsed Coherent Radar (PCR) sensor with Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52840 wireless SoC. With integrated Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and a compact 33 mm circular form factor, the XM126 is designed for rapid development of connected radar products for commercial and industrial applications.

The module supports stand-alone operation, allowing developers to run their own embedded applications directly on the integrated Cortex-M4 processor using Acconeer's Radar System Software (RSS) and Software Development Kit (SDK). It also provides wireless connectivity through Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Zigbee, ANT and other 2.4 GHz protocols, making it ideal for battery-powered IoT devices.

Built around the A121 radar sensor, the XM126 delivers accurate distance measurements up to 20 meters, millimeter-level absolute accuracy and micrometer-level relative accuracy. It supports configurable detection zones for highly reliable presence sensing and operates reliably behind plastic or glass without requiring openings in the enclosure.

The module includes integrated Bluetooth antenna, optional NFC support for simplified pairing, multiple communication interfaces including SPI, UART and I²C, GPIOs for system integration, and operates from a wide 1.8 V to 5.5 V supply range.
