Acconeer XM125 Entry+ Radar Module
The Acconeer XM125 is a compact, integration-ready radar module built around the Acconeer A121 60 GHz Pulsed Coherent Radar (PCR) sensor and an STM32L431 Cortex-M4 microcontroller. It is designed to simplify product development by combining radar hardware, processing capability and software support into a single 18.6 × 15 mm module.
The module is optimized for high precision people presence detection, motion detection, parking space occupancy sensing and level measurement in applications such as tanks, waste containers and industrial systems. It supports configurable detection zones and update rates, making it suitable for both battery-powered and continuously powered products.
XM125 is based on the Acconeer A121 radar sensor, providing millimeter-level distance accuracy while remaining unaffected by dust, darkness, smoke and most environmental conditions that limit optical sensing technologies. The integrated Arm Cortex-M4 MCU allows developers to run their own embedded applications directly on the module using Acconeer's Radar System Software (RSS) and Software Development Kit (SDK). Alternatively, the module can be controlled by an external host through a register-based command protocol.
The module supports UART, I²C, GPIO, SWD/JTAG and reset interfaces, operates from a 1.8 V supply with 1.8 V or 3.3 V I/O, and can be mounted behind plastic or glass without requiring a physical opening in the enclosure. Its Land Grid Array (LGA) package enables straightforward integration into production designs.
